Suggestions to make it look better

Cut off a little of the right and left of the canvas, to reduce the blank space around the title.

Check your spelling. "has fallen victim to a bloodthirsty cannibal tribe".

Probably change or add to the title. "Horror" is too general and a little generic. Maybe "Wild Horror" or even something completely different.

What programs do you use to model the women? And you seem to do the rest in Photoshop, so I recommend: Don't use the grass brush, it's a stencil rather than something drawn by you. People see the grass brush and tend to think you are a noob. But it seems you are not.

Keep it up!

Grundel-fish

In addition to what has been said before, I think the bubbles in the background are not very convincing. They need at least a little depth.

Apart from that I like the beast. Especially the emptiness in its eyes. Also the mouth makes me think about "the Grundel" from the 80's Ghostbusters show.

Nice job!

Om nom nom

I never liked that show Cat-Dog, so I highly appreciate this.

It's really good, especially considering that you did it in about 40 mins. (10 minutes before flood + 30 minutes late, right?)

I think the face you gave the shark is pretty funny, I mean he's eating part of his own body and is still smiling like a stupid chibi. ^^

Good one!

What can I say?

It's simply great.

I can't give much of a useful review here, it's just that I like everthing about this pic.

Especially: the splashing water where the monster comes out of the water, the glowing eyes, the trail the ship leaves behind and the texture of the water.

Occluded responds:

Aw thanks man. I got a lot of good feedback on it before I submitted. So a lot of outside eyes helped me especially with the water. Which took as much time as everything else put together.

Not bad so far

I think it's a good basic concept and there is a lot of energy and dynamic in that water spirit.

So far the style of the background and the water spirit seem to clash. The white lines of the water look almost "vector-like" while the trees look "painting-like".

I would really like to see this finished someday and a different background added.

Welcoming

I like the position we are looking at her from as well as the way she is looking at us. This could work as the opening scene or the cover image of a crime or mystery story and basically this pic would make me want to know more about it.

It would have been great if there was some kind of structure on the floor. Maybe a sidewalk or a gully cover. But even without it I imagine she is standing on some kind of broad street. Also I know you had to start over a new flood pic and had to make it for the deadline.

Judging from the angle the right shoulder (left from our view) is turned to, the arm seems a little long.

Apart from that it looks nice, the facial expression is interesting and she really looks soaking wet. Good job on that!

Favourite

Was my favourite when I saw the sketch, was my favourite when I saw your WIPs and it is my favourite now that the flood happened.

The whole scene is hilarious, the drawings themselves are great and the crosshatching in particular is awesome.

I love the facial expression!

And in case the cube in the background was really supposed to be a sugar cube, it looks more like an ice cube.

Fifty-50 responds:

Thanks man. You don't know how happy I am right now.

Remember: Still waters run wet.
