Impressive

Amazing job on the pig's skin, if it wasn't such a strange motive I would call it pretty realistic. But honestly, the details are really great.

Also funny idea! Somewhat worrying, but funny....

This is sick....

.... but in a good way. It's very unique and very stylish. The bunnies look really creepy and twisted. Their facial expression is priceless.

Same for the woman on the chair, she is worked out really well and everything is drawn pretty detailed.

The background may be a matter of taste, just like the bench they are sitting on, but I personally like it.

There are however some kind of dark brushstrokes where the smoke merges into the black background.

Funny little vector work

It's a good idea and well executed. Looks like something that would look good on a t-shirt.

But where is the ligh coming from? On the head it's from the upper right, but on the legs and arms it looks like it's coming from above. And on the ears there's no shading.

Overall, I still like it very much, especially "HUG ME!" :D

Bunny dash!

You did a really good job on our flood icon.

The grass on the left looks does look strange with the ends of your brush strokes peeping out. It looks much better on the right side. Generally the grass is less detailed as the bunny, but that's not a problem here.

The right ear from our view is a little too far to the left, since the bunny's head is pointed directly towards the viewer.

I especially like the way you did the eyes and the fur. Also very good job on the perspective and pose.

J-qb responds:

thanks, Totally agree on all points. The problem I had with this one is that I initially made it as the thumbnail and only later decided to upload it as standalone art. This means stuff that didnt really matter in the thumbnail was now a problem. The perspective was referenced, couldnt get it down without a ref.

Too much use of smudge tool

Like in your other piece, the smudge tool has been overused here. Unfortunately the forest looks more like a green wall than anything else.

The snow on the right part of the pic looks better than the other snow, you should have applied that style to the whole ground, I think.

All in all, you should really try to draw a pic with no or only little smudging if you draw digitally. To me, your acrylic pics look better btw.

Keep it up!

Not bad, but very smudgy

It's a nice pic, it really is, but you used the smudge tool too much. You should try to draw with a little more definition. I suppose you wanted it to look like an oil painting or something, but I think you've overdone it.

I like the mountain cliff and the sky you did. It's also very smudgy, but apart from that it seems to be ok.

It also gets a little too dark at the bottom of the trees.

Keep it up and I hope to see more from you in the next flood!

Soccer? Football!

I appreciate your frosty tribute to the most popular sport of the world. My art teacher once said, that it's hard to draw a convincing football, so kudos to you, because it looks very good.

Only thing I can complain about, is that some of the lines of the net are messed somehow. The top line is vanishing halfway and some of the others are not parallel to the top bar too.

I like it.... a little blank maybe, but I like it.

Hard to review

I dunno where to start, it's a very wild and dynamic picture. The face looks a little slapped on, but then again it suits the way you drew the knife and the wavey abnormal arm on the left of the pic.

I love the monochrome style and the different blues give a really cold feel. I also love the storming snow, the background and the snow ground, good job on all of that.

I looked at this pic quite some time now and also many times when I tried to start a review before and I feel like I'm "not done" watching it yet. That may sound weird, but I think that's a good sign.

I personally like the picture and the style you used a lot, so my 10/10 and 5/5 are probably not very objective.

Ninjar responds:

I was kind of rushed for this pic so I could post it with all the others for the flood. That's why the face is slapped on and other parts of the picture to match it. I wasn't really expecting anyone to like the style because I didn't take a liking to it that much, but I'm glad you do. Thanks a lot. :3

Impressive work

It looks great. There's not much more I can say.

The strong contrast really suits the image well.

The red of the writing is a little to saturated for me, but I guess that's where nitpicking begins.

Very good job!

Fifty-50 responds:

Thank you. I was going to make this as a postcard for a contest. But I decided not to enter it lol.

Welcome to the flood club

Glad to see another art forum reg joining.

As for this piece... it's kinda blurry, but it looks like ice at least.

I hope to see one of your usually much better pieces in the next flood.

Kinsei responds:

:P Thanks for the welcome. I have such horrible time management skills some times and things just get away from me haha...
Anyway, it was suppose to be icicles. I'm not surprised I blew it :P
